Rob Bourdon – The Lead Drummer
The most fascinating drummer and a member of the famous Linkin park, Rob Bourdon was born in Calabasas, California. He was brought up in the same town and now he is a part of Los Angeles.
A Brief Bio
Inspired by an Aerosmith concert, Rob tried his hands on drums for the first time at the age of ten. His wish got a boost when he met Joey Kramer an Aerosmith's drummer, his mothers friend. So, he had the chance to visit the backstage where he saw the entire production. Kramer also gifted him a kick pedal.
Rob Bourdon with his friends started playing in bands, when he was in his early teen years. It was during that time that he got in touch with his present Linkin Park bandmate Brad Delson. For about a year Bourdon and Delson played for a band titled Relative Degree. They coveted to play at the magnificent Roxy Theater. They soon succeeded in achieving the heights they had desired and their show was a great hit. However, after this Relative Degree ultimately broke up.
His likings
Rob is known to be a perfectionist in whatever he does. He wears Puma racecar driving shoes for better adjustment with the drum pedals and according to him it gives him a much better grip to the pedals.
Some of his hobbies are playing the piano, nevertheless he had never played it in any recording of Linkin Park and he also enjoys surfing.
Of late, Rob was in light for the much-hyped 'tattoos stories'. His Linkin Park's band mate Chester Bennington said that Rob keeps away from tattoos for religious reasons.
In the Linkin Park's upcoming third studio album Rob Bourdon is all set to mark an impression with standard wooden drums in addition to triggers used in his former albums.
